Elphin April Showers is a 1996 grey (born dark bay) mare, out of Aluinn dé Haoine. April was born in a particularly wet spring, hence the name. As a baby, she was the sweetest little thing, always curious and interested in her human friends. She was also a bit of a tomboy, growing up with three colt foals as playmates.

April was sold to Mary Yeager of Loughlin Farm in Ohio, where she was broken and then bred to *Kilfenora Windy Isles. Her 2000 filly, Loughin's Island Mist is pictured below.
