Elphin Finola is a bay 14hh mare out of Aluinn dé Haoine. Finola was Dee's first foal, born in 1993, and she proved to be a friendly little filly. Finola was named after her paternal great-great grand dam, Finola of Leam
At the age of a year old, Finola made the journey west to Golden, British Columbia, along with her three-quarter sister Elphin Sweet Rosaleen, to Doug Morcom's Starlight Stables. Finola was broken and shown in Hunter by the Morcom's daughter.

Rosie was the third of Friday's babies by Mick and the only filly. As a foal, she was sweet, inquisitive and the cutest little palomino! Rosie was named after her maternal grandam *Rose of Rosabhil.
Rosie was sold as weanling to BC, with her sister Finola. On the trip out west they shared a stall in the truck and the drivers, who were used to warmbloods, couldn't believe how tiny they were!
